Gerston - Classic Selection (The Lost Distillery Company)

Though we may never know what whisky from the Gerston distillery tastes like (it closed back in 1882, and then again in 1914), The Lost Distillery Company have researched their production methods and created a blended malt which they reckon might well taste like Gerston's whisky!

ASAHI SUPER DRY BEER BOTTLE (24 X 330ML)

Asahi Super Dry was a direct result of extensive market research which indicated a consumer preference for a more palatable beer with less maltiness, relatively high alcohol content and a light aftertaste, that paired well with the changing Japanese diet. With this insight Asahi used its brewing knowledge to develop a beer with a crisp bite, refreshing taste and clear finish to satisfied this requirement. Code named project FX, Asahi engineered a highly attenuated, highly carbonated pilsner. The later renamed product, Super Dry began sales on March 17th 1987 and gave birth to the dry beer category. The market success spawned similar competitor products and initiated what was known as the “Dry Wars” in Japan and a brief marketing fad for dry beers internationally. However Asahi has stood the test of time and now years later Super Dry continues it legacy as the world’s premier dry beer.

Auchnagie - Classic Selection (The Lost Distillery Company)

A blended malt from The Lost Distillery Company, made to represent what the whisky from the long-closed Auchnagie distillery could have tasted like. Auchnagie produced whisky for just short of 100 years in Perthshire, from 1812 to 1911, and was dismantled the year after. After researching all they could about the workings of Auchnagie, The Lost Distillery Company created this expression to show us how the whisky might have tasted.

Jericho - Classic Selection (The Lost Distillery Company)

A blended malt based on the research into the Jericho distillery by The Lost Distillery Company. They find out all they can about long-closed distilleries and use that information to try and create a representation of what the whisky could have tasted like - which is awesome, by the way. The Jericho distillery was producing whisky between 1824 and 1913, but its isolation eventually meant that it ended up closing.
